The Sun - EIT Solar Flare Image

Solar Flare captured by EIT on 12th January 2000. The LASCO instrument had its doors closed pending a spacecraft manoeuvre, so the EIT was operating at higher than normal telemetry rate and captured an extensive sequence of solar events.
